RHRP Optometry Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Optometry Technician to support vision exams and treatment for military service members. The primary work schedule is weekends, with occasional weekdays in the State of _______.

Responsibilities

• Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care
• Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system
• Aiding patients in selecting frames for their glasses
• Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients
• Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
• Keeping the office organized and presentable
• Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and fundus photography
• Experience with computers, including knowledge of and experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
• Own transportation for site traveling is required

Pay

$20 per hour plus travel pay
