RHRP Optometry Technician
About the role
We are seeking an Optometry Technician to support the dental exams and treatment needs of our Military Service members. The position primarily works weekends, with some occasional weekdays in the State of AR.
Responsibilities
- Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care
- Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system
- Aiding patients in selecting frames for their glasses
- Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients
- Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
- Maintaining the office and exam room
- Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
- Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography
- Knowledge and experience with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
- Own transportation for site traveling
