About the role
Bassett Healthcare Network, in Central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join our fully supported clinic staff. The practice includes dedicated infusion nurses, a nurse coordinator for triage, and office staff providing substantial patient support, including 100% assistance with prior authorizations.
You will join an established group of two Rheumatologists and work with a wide variety of diseases represented among the patient population. Teaching opportunities are available, working directly with house staff and medical students. The role offers support for clinical research, including nursing, statisticians, and experts in study design, with limited call and minimal travel.
Practice within Bassett Healthcare Network, an integrated system delivering care across an 8-county region and a progressive academic health system, serving as a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Responsibilities
- Provide rheumatology care in a fully supported clinic setting
- Collaborate with an established group of Rheumatologists
- Engage in teaching opportunities with house staff and medical students
- Participate in clinical research with available support
- Limited call and minimal travel required
Requirements
- MD, DO, or MBBS degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
- Completion of an accredited USA Rheumatology Fellowship
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS Certification
- DEA Certification
