About the role

This position involves providing specialized rheumatology care in a unique practice serving a large patient population in Central Texas, between Dallas and Austin.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage referral patients with conditions such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.
• Coordinate with referring physicians to review patient records and determine appointment appropriateness.
• Participate in clinical trials, research activities, and utilize advanced diagnostic tools like bone density machines.
• Engage in teaching responsibilities within a nearby family practice residency program.
• Handle a high volume of patient referrals, with a focus on quality care and appropriate case selection.
