About the role
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Rheumatology, Assistant/Associate/Professor, Department of Internal Medicine, Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings
- Supervision and teaching of Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students
- Teaching experiences at the University Medical Center (UMC)
- Providing care to more than 10,000 patients per month in 17 primary care and specialty care clinics
- Offering comprehensive mix of inpatient and ambulatory teaching experiences
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program
- Board certification or board eligibility in Rheumatology
- Nevada State Board of Pharmacy license and DEA license
- Malpractice coverage meeting credentialing requirements
- Privileges at University Medical Center (UMC) and other site locations as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: M.D. or D.O. degree, residency program completion, board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology, Nevada licenses, malpractice coverage, and privileges at UMC
- Preferred qualifications: Research publications, group practice experience, and contributions to the community
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to teach and mentor medical students and residents
- Experience with electronic health records
