Position Overview

Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Adult Rheumatologist to join our growing academic faculty in New Orleans, Louisiana. Candidates with an interest in rheumatology clinical care, clinical education, and program development are encouraged to apply. Clinical Work Site

Practice within a 420-bed regional referral center and one of Tulane University's primary academic teaching hospitals. The Tulane Multi-Specialty Clinic offers a collaborative multidisciplinary environment with access to advanced diagnostic and specialty services.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient rheumatology care
• Maintain a predominantly outpatient practice at a single clinic location
• Participate in a limited inpatient consultative service
• Support the continued growth and development of the Lupus Center of Excellence
• Collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive patient-centered care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities

Academic Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise residents, and medical students
• Commitment to growing the Division of Rheumatology with eventual development of a Rheumatology fellowship training program
• Participate in conferences, lectures, and educational initiatives
• Mentor trainees in clinical and professional development
• Contribute to committee service at the Section, Department, School of Medicine, or institutional level
• Contribute to scholarly activity, research, and program development according to individual interests
