RFP Analyst

About the role

As the RFP Analyst, you will manage, direct, facilitate, respond to, and complete both Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFI) documents submitted by Employee Benefit Representatives (sales) on behalf of Prospect Clients. You will support all Life, Disability, Absence/Leave, and Supplemental Health Products. This role involves coordinating with internal business partners including Distribution, Underwriting, Sales Support, and Fulfillment to develop comprehensive responses.

Responsibilities

• Complete RFP questionnaires on or before the due date with customized, accurate, and persuasive responses. Collaborate with subject matter experts across all functions, Sales, and the Underwriting team to write individualized responses that recognize each customer's unique benefit and service needs.
• Support the growth and increased functionality of the RFP Response database by partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to complete comprehensive annual reviews, update all responses in the database, and add new responses as they arise.
• Increase the visibility of the RFP Unit by participating in strategy calls and follow-up calls, creating and maintaining the RFP Unit page on The Source, and contributing consistently to Field Talk Online.
• Proactively identify opportunities to offer solutions to customers by reaching out to SMEs and collaborating with the Underwriting and Sales team to effectively position Sun Life's offerings.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of internal partners.
• Utilize technology to efficiently respond to RFP Questionnaires and maintain high-quality responses in the RFP database.
• Meet time service delivery standards.
• Develop and provide RFP responses that help differentiate Sun Life in the marketplace.
• Support the identification and development of best practices.
• Work effectively in a high-volume, transaction-oriented environment with a strong focus on details.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred or applicable industry-specific experience.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and a responsive, service-oriented professional approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing a high-volume workload with competing demands.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word knowledge.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective, professional business relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work with a diverse range of people.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $65,900 - $98,900. Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on individual performance and the overall performance of the business.
