Responsibilities

  • Working directly with engineers and influencing product development and customer use case decisions
  • Obtaining deep knowledge of RFID technology which can be a critical link for enabling the Internet of Things, Blockchain and Omni-Channel fulfillment
  • Working as part of a technical team environment, with professionals trained on testing methods, critical thinking, data analysis and reporting in spreadsheets, and generating technical and customer-facing reports
  • Providing support for product engineers working on the development of RFID tags, printer systems, and RFID reader systems operating in the HF and UHF bands
  • Utilizing automated RFID test systems and RFID printer and reader systems to support testing, data collection, data organization, and reporting

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a focus on Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel or Google Equivalent
  • General familiarity with electronic systems and introductory programming background is preferred
  • Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, etc., or volunteerism/similar activities
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work, and sponsorship is not available now or in the future

Additional Information

The hourly salary for this position is $25.50 - $29.00/hour based off where you are at academically. The hourly rate above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
