RFC Transportation Lead

CORE DUTIES

• Aid in the initial training and orientation of new team members to enhance furniture handling skills, tool proficiency, and customer service.
• Offer performance enhancement recommendations to the transportation supervisory team based on feedback and observations from the team.
• Ensure accurate completion of deliveries using delivery tablets.
• Understand, adhere to, and enforce all safe work practices and rules.
• Keep training and compliance up-to-date and manage with all team members within safety guidelines.
• Support the maintenance of delivery equipment.
• Assist with load outs and recoveries throughout the day.
• Assign add-ons and ensure deliveries are completed.
• Assist with route planning and complex deliveries.

• Transportation Financial Performance (Percentage of Expense to Sales)
• Team engagement (turnover/team member engagement scores)

• Delivery Calendar and claims conformance

Experience

• 2 years of experience in delivery, distribution, logistics, and/or facility management with warehousing required
• 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams

Educational Requirements

• A High School Diploma is required

• Strong analytical skills using data and reporting
• Microsoft, Power BI, WMS experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to lead team in company-driven processes and procedures
• Experience coaching for improvement

Work Parameters

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Driver’s License Required
• A satisfactory Criminal Record Check is required
• Ability to lift 50-100 lbs
• Ability to work hand trucks, compactors, and other warehouse equipment
