RF Test Engineer
About the role

As an RF Test Engineer, you will work with various types of RF diagnostic and testing tools to test and debug failures and defects in RF systems, serving as a Subject Matter Expert within the group.
Responsibilities
- Support the testing, measuring, and troubleshooting of complex electronic and RF circuit card assemblies, systems, and sub-assemblies using specialized equipment to analyze signal strength, interference, and other relevant parameters.
- Troubleshoot and maintain test equipment to ensure ongoing functionality.
- Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation.
- Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report regularly to the team.
- Generate and implement improvements in test design and develop methodologies to reduce cost, increase yield, and improve throughput.
- Create rework plans for test non-conformances.
- Interface with Engineering, Quality, and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.
- Interface with governmental customers, auditors, and suppliers as required.
- Identify, create, and implement Engineering Change Orders on products as required.
- Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel.
- Assist in the support relocation of test equipment between manufacturing sites and lead transition to production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 5+ years of overall engineering and manufacturing experience, including experience using RF measurement and test equipment such as power meters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Strong technical aptitude, communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other disciplines/functions.
- Problem-solving capabilities and experience using metrics and data to drive actions.
- Proven track record of solving/troubleshooting complicated production issues and/or driving yield improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience using RF measurement and test equipment, including debugging to the component level in RF circuit cards and troubleshooting test systems to drive improvements.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Circuit Card Assemblies: test, design, troubleshoot.
- Performs preliminary Material Review / Material Review Board (PMR/MRB) for the disposition of discrepant material.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), data collection and analysis, and Root Cause and Corrective Action methodology.
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $97,008 - $164,914. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
