About the role
Microwave Products Group – Pole/Zero Corporation is seeking a RF Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in West Chester, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF system design, simulation, and validation, with experience in military standards and defense electronics.
Responsibilities
- Develop RF system architectures, block diagrams, and subsystem specifications to meet performance, cost, schedule, and manufacturability objectives.
- Design, simulate, and analyze RF and mixed-signal circuits, including filters, amplifiers, matching networks, and analog/digital interfaces.
- Perform system-level modeling, trade studies, and performance analysis to evaluate and optimize design solutions.
- Define and execute validation, characterization, and compliance test plans to verify system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with RF, PCB, and Mechanical designers to optimize RF layout, signal integrity, thermal performance, EMI/EMC compliance, and producibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the product lifecycle, including schematic design, PCB layout, assembly, integration, test, and field support.
- Support proposal development and customer engagements by contributing technical solutions, architecture concepts, cost estimates, and design approaches.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and program management personnel.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support the development of engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident).
- BSEE or MSEE with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in RF system architecture, modeling, simulation, integration, and validation.
- Proficiency with AWR Microwave Office or comparable RF simulation tools strongly preferred.
- Experience with military standards, defense electronics, and electro-mechanical system integration is highly desirable.
