About the role
Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a RF Systems Engineer 3/4 located in Boulder, CO.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, integration, and verification of RF-based ground systems supporting a variety of space missions.
- Participate in system definition, requirements development, architecture decomposition, and verification activities throughout the system lifecycle.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate mission and customer needs into system requirements and technical solutions.
- Define system architecture and interfaces across hardware, software, and infrastructure components, with particular focus on RF systems including antennas, RF front-end equipment, and ground communications infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with a PhD
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
- Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approaches
- Experience in the design, development, and integration of ground system software, networking, and/or RF antenna programs
- Familiarity with RF communications systems, ground systems, or antenna-based architectures
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance
Qualifications
- For a Level 3: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with a PhD
- For a Level 4: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with a PhD
Skills
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
- Demonstrated experience quickly learning new concepts and approaches
- Experience in the design, development, and integration of ground system software, networking, and/or RF antenna programs
- Familiarity with RF communications systems, ground systems, or antenna-based architectures

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $11,400.00 - $171,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00

Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
