Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Aeronautical Systems Engineering, or an engineering related field and 12+ years of professional experience
- Familiar with the application of systems engineering and software development processes to the design, development, integration, test, and verification of complex systems
- RF or EW lab testing experience
- Experience with suppliers in designing requirements for products, and testing those products
- Active Secret Clearance required
Job Description
- Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry
- Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers
- Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test
- Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics
- Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase
- Develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment
- Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources
- Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements
- Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs)
- Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis
- Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis
Desired Skills
- Electronic Warfare system design, development, and testing
- Experience with Infrared detection systems
- Experience with requirements development, system integration, and utilizing RF stimulators
- Experience with Laboratory System Integration and Test, SIMSIL and STIMSIS experience
- Mission Data File design, preparation, and testing
- Experience with: requirements derivation, Verification and Validation Matrix design, and requirements testing
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving: System Defects, Deficiency Reports (DRs), and Software Problem Anomaly Reports (SPARs), particularly as they relate to Electronic Warfare (EW) systems
- Program Manager experience, test lead experience, System Engineer lead, and Procurement Lead experience
- Experience procuring or operating a CEESIM or other EW stimulator
