General Overview
Our client is seeking a Designer with strong Revit skills to develop layout solutions, produce drawings, and coordinate with consultants and architects. This position plays a crucial role in supporting vertical transportation, escalator, and moving walk designs while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to project specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to create and refine designs for vertical transportation equipment, escalators, and moving walks.
- Develop layout solutions while ensuring compliance with architectural and building codes.
- Cooky closely with clients, architects, and consultants to align designs with project needs.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
- Conduct research on elevator codes, building codes, and vertical transportation equipment.
- Document and organize project-specific data, client communications, and design modifications.
- Independently design and draft applications for: Passenger, service, and freight hydraulic elevators. Overhead traction elevators (geared and gearless). Machine Room-less elevators. Standard escalators.
- Research and integrate commercial and transit escalator details from vendors.
- Identify and communicate project gaps or missing requirements.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and detail in all design work.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience using Revit and AutoCAD (Elevator design/drafting experience preferred).
- Experience in architectural drafting and coordination with architects.
- Mechanical and electrical engineering design experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Bluebeam Revu.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple projects.
