About the role

We are seeking a skilled Reverse Engineer specializing in Android to join our team. In this role, you will analyze and dissect Android applications and malware to understand their functionality, identify vulnerabilities, and develop countermeasures.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic analysis of Android applications and malware.
• Reverse engineer binaries to extract and document functionality, algorithms, and protocols.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in Android applications and system components.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate reverse engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve detection and mitigation strategies.
• Create detailed technical reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest Android security trends, threats, and reverse engineering techniques.

Requirements

• Proven experience in reverse engineering Android applications and malware.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, JADX, Frida, and Burp Suite.
• Strong understanding of Android internals, including ART/Dalvik, Binder, and SELinux.
• Experience with ARM assembly and low-level programming (C/C++).
• Familiarity with common obfuscation techniques and anti-reverse engineering mechanisms.
• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and their implementation flaws.
• Ability to write custom scripts in Python, Java, or Kotlin for automation and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in reverse engineering, malware analysis, or Android security.
• Experience with mobile threat intelligence and malware research is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
