Revenue Recognition Specialist

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manages, controls and tracks appropriately revenue recognition transactional activity
  • Aid in month-end closing of the Accounts Receivable module and weekly/monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain and update accurate, complete, tracking of revenue transaction queues
  • Analyze information to determine validity of revenue recognition
  • Review client contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with policy and Revenue Recognition Accounting Standards
  • Investigate and diagnose potential errors and duplicate revenue scenarios
  • Aid in audit review, both financial and internal control related
  • Review and respond to Accounts Receivable inquiries
  • Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual ad hoc reporting
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information
  • Support ad hoc projects as required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
  • Two to five years related experience

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Experience using Workday Financial System is a plus

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid driver’s license required
