OPSWAT, a global leader in IT, OT, and ICS critical infrastructure cybersecurity, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager of Revenue Recognition to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, this role will own revenue accounting operations and ensure accurate, compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 across OPSWAT’s product offerings.
This position will play a critical role in scaling revenue processes, partnering cross-functionally, and supporting audit readiness as the company continues to grow.
- Own end-to-end revenue recognition under ASC 606 across subscriptions, licenses (cloud and on-prem), professional services, and hardware arrangements.
- Review customer contracts for accounting implications including performance obligations, SSP, variable consideration, contract modifications, and termination clauses.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain deferred revenue and unbilled receivables balances and support forecasting of recognized revenue.
- Serve as the revenue subject matter expert in NetSuite ARM (or equivalent revenue automation tools).
- Partner with Sales Operations to improve upstream deal quality and data integrity.
- Prepare technical accounting memos for complex or non-standard arrangements.
- Own revenue-related audit requests and serve as primary point of contact for external auditors.
- Help build and maintain SOX-ready documentation, controls, and process narratives.
- Drive automation and process improvements across revenue workflows.
- Contribute to the development and documentation of revenue accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years focused on ASC 606.
- Prior SaaS or technology industry experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of multi-element arrangements, SSP, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
- Experience supporting audits and complex revenue environments.
- Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to non-finance partners.
