Revenue Management Manager

About the Role

This position is responsible for maximizing room revenue and profit across customer segments including casino, transient, group, and contract for the hotel. The role involves recommending and maintaining pricing, positioning, and inventory management, as well as overseeing processes to maximize revenue from existing demand through forecasting, opportunity analysis, and strategy implementation.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent personal management skills, including time management, meeting deadlines, and effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Conduct research, surveys, and market analysis to capitalize on the casino’s strengths and competitor weaknesses.
• Recommend and develop the hotel’s annual room revenue budget.
• Forecast hotel demand on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Maximize revenue generated by the hotel in both cash and casino play.
• Recommend and implement changes to hotel pricing, including pricing for groups and other room blocks.
• Analyze robust data sets from various sources, such as slots, table games, F&B, and other hotel revenue streams.
• Set and manage appropriate yield controls to maximize revenue from all distribution channels.
• Prepare and analyze market segmentation reports, production reports, source contribution analysis, daily pick-up reports, and pace summaries.
• Conduct audits to ensure sell strategies are correctly implemented across all channels.
• Lead weekly revenue management meetings and prepare reports for related meetings.
• Monitor and analyze competition daily/weekly through shop reports and online research to identify market trends and selling strategies.
• Resolve inventory management issues and assist with technical issues, upgrades, and decisions related to PMS, RMS, and other systems.
• Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are implemented, communicated, and adjusted based on market conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of revenue management experience in a similar setting (hotel/resort/casino) preferred.
• Experience in strategic analysis, with preference for hotel/resort/casino opening or expansion experience.
• Excellent understanding of total revenue management concepts, processes, and systems.
• Ability to develop strong relationships through professional, courteous, and ethical communication.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and strong knowledge of LMS, CMP, SQL, forward distribution platforms, extranets, Rainmaker RMS, or similar programs.

Work Environment

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays; some travel is required.
• Duties are typically performed in a professional office setting.
• Frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, hearing, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
