Revenue Integrity Specialist
About the Role
The Revenue Integrity Specialist supports the accuracy, compliance, and optimization of revenue capture across the organization. This role is responsible for reviewing charging, coding, and billing processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational policies, identifying revenue leakage opportunities, and supporting corrective actions. The Revenue Integrity Specialist partners with clinical, finance, coding, and billing teams to improve documentation, charge capture, and revenue cycle performance while mitigating compliance risk.

Responsibilities
- Review charging, coding, and billing processes for regulatory compliance and organizational policy alignment.
- Identify revenue leakage opportunities and support corrective actions.
- Collaborate with clinical, finance, coding, and billing teams to enhance documentation, charge capture, and revenue cycle performance.
- Mitigate compliance risks related to revenue integrity.
Requirements
- Three years of related experience (required).
- Strong Excel skills, including proficiency with Pivot Tables.
- Previous experience with EPIC strongly preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.

About the Workplace
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility and home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School. The facility includes:
