Revenue Development Specialist
About the role
The Sales team at The RealReal is growing, and we're seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Remote Sales organization. The Revenue Development Specialist is a hybrid role that combines outbound business development with consultative selling. You'll build new relationships, re-engage past consignors, and support existing client books when needed, driving revenue growth across multiple sales channels. This role is ideal for those who are customer-obsessed, agile, and driven to excel in a fully-remote, competitive sales environment.

Responsibilities
- Build and manage your own outbound sales pipeline by reconnecting with past clients and developing new opportunities.
- Assume ownership of active consignor books during Concierge and Inside Sales leaves of absence, maintaining relationships and driving opportunities through to close.
- Engage consignors across phone, text, email, and chat, guiding them from qualification through close with meaningful conversations.
- Work with agility in a hybrid position, shifting between prospecting and closing as coverage assignments change weekly.
- Bridge across teams, understanding how BDR, Field Sales, and Inside Sales workflows connect, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Track your performance metrics, analyze insights, and use them to improve—strong performance opens doors to leadership roles in Inside Sales.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of sales experience with a track record of consistently hitting or exceeding targets, and comfort managing a full book independently.
- A natural communicator who builds rapport quickly, stays composed under pressure, and keeps conversations moving with confidence.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without dropping details, and curiosity to listen for what consignors truly need.
- Clear and compelling communication across all channels—phone, text, email, and chat.
- Confidence in closing consignors and agility to shift between prospecting and closing as priorities change.
- Self-directed and accountable, with sound judgment and high integrity in managing relationships and decisions, especially in ambiguity.
- Hunger for growth, openness to feedback, and a natural ability to bridge teams and workflows.
- Available full-time (40 hours/week).

Pay
The expected hourly rate for this role is $25.50.
