Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow
• Patient identification
• Gathering demographic information
• Securing financial and third‑party insurance data
• Entering registration data
• Verifying and pre‑certifying insurance as necessary
• Establishing patient financial responsibility
• Assisting in resolution through establishment of payment agreements or financial assistance applications

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Three years previous medical office experience preferred
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required
• Knowledge of filing & office systems
• Ability to organize work and handle multiple projects/priorities
• Demonstrates professional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• One year previous pre‑certification, registration, billing and collections experience preferred
• Ability to operate fax, copier, and scanner required
