Revenue Cycle Specialist - Insurance AR Follow Up
Vaco is partnering with a growing healthcare organization in Atlanta, GA, to hire a Revenue Cycle Specialist. This opportunity is ideal for a revenue cycle professional with experience managing insurance accounts receivable and driving timely reimbursement.
About the role
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will be responsible for following up on outstanding insurance claims, researching and resolving denials, submitting appeals, correcting claim discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams to improve reimbursement performance. Additional responsibilities include:
- Monitoring A/R aging
- Analyzing denial trends
- Resolving patient account issues
- Tracking key performance metrics
- Identifying process improvements to reduce A/R days and maximize collections
Requirements
- 2+ years of healthcare insurance A/R follow-up experience
- Proven experience resolving denied, underpaid, and unpaid insurance claims
- Experience working in an EHR or practice management system; eClinicalWorks preferred
- Working knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid payer guidelines
- Ability to independently manage and prioritize a high-volume claim follow-up workload
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Allergy specialty or physician practice experience preferred
Pay
As required by local law, the salary range for this role is disclosed in geographies that mandate it. Compensation depends on factors including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, office location, and other business needs.
