Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Responsibilities

• Processes, reviews, and files insurance claims according to established policies and procedures.
• Captures and enters patient’s insurance information into ACS Compumed System.
• Verifies and submits insurance claims.
• Responds to correspondence from third-party payors and addresses patient billing inquiries.
• Follows up with insurance companies to ensure timely claim payment.
• Re-submits insurance claims that have not received responses.
• Answers telephones and provides/obtains information to resolve billing and collection issues.
• Maintains supporting billing information for future reference or audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of insurance AR and post-claim follow-up experience.
• Physician claim billing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry.
• Proficiency in using computer programs and applications.
