We are looking for a Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our Yield Management team. This role focuses on reconciliation, payment posting, and system alignment between Cotiviti and our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Post payments to collection accounts and reconcile with posted bank transactions.
  • Work with the AP department to issue refunds when needed.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements with the cash posting database.
  • Post adjustment transactions to both the collection system and the client’s system.
  • Perform cash application functions to meet or exceed key performance criteria for Corporate and client requirements.
  • Access and understand information from various online systems to accurately apply payments and adjustments.
  • Assist in determining the adjudication of refunds by analyzing how claims have been paid.
  • Prepare and record financial transactions for assigned accounts to ensure accurate and timely financial history.
  • Maintain daily deposit reconciliation and monthly reporting for audit purposes.
  • Reconcile daily deposit totals, review and correct discrepancies, and ensure cash balancing.
  • Facilitate communication between internal and external customers regarding bank deposits.
  • Research and accurately distribute payments with missing invoice numbers or dates of service.
  • Determine the correct claim for payments when valid patient or date-of-service information is available.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of compliance and recovery laws to ensure adherence to state regulations throughout the collection cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or three (3) years of Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and system databases.
  • Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry-based standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well both individually and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Must provide a dedicated, secure work area with high-speed internet access and office setup.
  • No adverse environmental conditions are expected.

Pay

Base compensation ranges from $20.00 to $23.50 per hour. Specific offers are determined by factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and business needs.
