By managing the revenue cycle efficiently, this program supports timely patient care and smooth insurance transactions, impacting both patient experience and operational effectiveness. 2. About the Opportunity:The Revenue Cycle Coordinator plays a crucial role in facilitating patient access to behavioral health services by managing insurance benefits verification, prior authorization, and billing processes. This position ensures claims are accurately submitted and resolved, reducing denials and delays. The role also directly supports patients by addressing billing inquiries and reconciling balances, thereby maintaining a smooth revenue cycle from intake through payment. 3. Responsibilities:• Verify patient insurance benefits and intake information• Obtain prior authorizations for telehealth behavioral health services• Resolve billing issues to prevent claim denials or submission delays• Identify and correct insurance benefit discrepancies impacting patient care• Respond to patient billing inquiries and reconcile balances via email• Manage end-to-end insurance billing, including overturning denials and posting payments• Track unpaid claims, submit appeals, and communicate with payers• Collaborate with clinical and support staff for accurate documentation and communication• Support billing best practices and process improvements• Maintain communication with external vendors involved in billing and claims 4. Requirements:• 2-3 years of experience in behavioral health billing, preferably telehealth• Experience billing commercial and Medicaid payers• Proficient in insurance benefits verification and prior authorization• Understanding of full revenue cycle process from intake to payment• Experience resolving billing errors, claim denials, and submitting appeals• Accurate payment posting and patient balance reconciliation• Familiarity with billing software and electronic health record systems• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and insurance policies for behavioral health and telehealth• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and independent remote work capability• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with external vendors or payers• Medical billing or coding certification preferred Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with Healthie, Candid, and Helpscout• Familiarity with patient communication and billing automation tools• Comfortable with CRM, support platforms, and patient management systems 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary: $58,000.00 annually• Position is salaried, non-exempt, and eligible for overtime 6.
