About the role

The Revenue Cycle Analyst role focuses on supporting revenue cycle operations through data analysis, reporting, and system support within a clinical informatics environment. The position involves collaborating closely with revenue cycle leadership, finance, and IT teams to leverage clinical and financial data, optimize billing and reimbursement workflows, and contribute to EHR implementation and system governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for improving billing accuracy, reimbursement, and revenue cycle performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine reports and dashboards supporting revenue cycle metrics, including denial trends, AR aging, and reimbursement analysis.
  • Support the effective use of clinical and financial data to inform system governance, EHR optimization, and revenue cycle initiatives.
  • Collaborate with revenue cycle, finance, and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, standardize workflows, and implement process improvements.
  • Contribute a financial and reporting perspective to clinical informatics projects, including EHR system enhancements and governance.
  • Communicate complex analytic findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, tailoring messaging for each audience.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations, financial systems, or healthcare reporting.
  • Experience working with hospital revenue cycle systems or EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
  • Proficiency in healthcare reporting tools and BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle processes, payer reimbursement methodologies, denial management, and revenue performance metrics.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EHR implementation or optimization projects from a governance or reporting perspective.
  • Certifications in healthcare analytics, revenue cycle management, or related areas.
  • Familiarity with SQL, ETL processes, and healthcare data standards (ICD‑10, CPT).
