Revenue Cycle Analyst

About the role

The Revenue Cycle Analyst ensures the hospital's revenue cycle processes are documented, understood, and acted upon by various clinical-financial areas within the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed analyses to develop, recommend, and implement workplace improvements that support standardization and integration of the revenue cycle workflow.
• Serves as a principal role in the department's education, implementation, and oversight of revenue cycle compliance, including but not limited to:
  • Account/service assignment
  • Authorizations
  • Chart documentation
  • Billing
  • Charge entry and reconciliation contingency planning
  • Supply management
  • Contract reimbursement
• Develops, reviews, analyzes, and reports various audit reports relating to each department's revenue cycle processes to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate required, or equivalent job-related experience.
• One or more years of experience in revenue cycle or healthcare operations within a multi-specialty hospital and/or clinic environment.

Working Conditions

• Prolonged sitting at a computer and on the telephone.
• Extensive data entry.
