About the role
The Revenue Clerk supports the accurate recording and management of county revenues. Day-to-day tasks include processing payments, posting receipts, reconciling revenue accounts, and maintaining detailed financial records.
Responsibilities
- Processing payments and posting receipts
- Reconciling revenue accounts
- Maintaining detailed financial records
- Entering data into accounting systems
- Preparing routine financial reports
- Assisting with audits and end-of-period closings
- Responding to inquiries from internal departments and the public
- Verifying documentation
- Supporting other finance and administrative functions as needed
Qualifications
- Skills in Accounting Software and basic Finance tools
- Skills in Bookkeeping and Accounting
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and following standardized procedures and regulations
- Proficiency with office productivity software and data entry
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and interact professionally with the public
- Previous experience in a government, finance, or office environment beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent required
