This role offers the chance to make significant contributions while collaborating with diverse teams to solve complex challenges in a fast-paced, global environment. Amazon Leo's accounting group focuses on Revenue, Supply Chain, and Infrastructure Accounting.

Responsibilities

  • Drive projects, provide accounting guidance, and serve as the first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
  • Take end-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners across the accounting and reporting process.
  • Research, conclude, and document technical accounting position papers for new business initiatives and complex transactions.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and influence the design of systems, processes, and controls for emerging business activities.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and monthly book closure through sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Analyze complex processes and systems data to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
  • Lead accounting tasks and projects, enhancing partnerships between Accounting and various business and IT groups.
  • Navigate ambiguity, prioritize effectively based on business needs, and escalate risks and issues to leadership.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification.
  • Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
  • Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
  • Experience in accounting management at a Big Four firm with Fortune 500 clients.
  • Experience in the satellite internet and/or telecommunications industries.

Pay

Base salary ranges by location:

  • Culver City, CA: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
  • Boston, MA: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
  • Portland, OR: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
  • Nashville, TN: $85,900 - $146,900 USD annually
  • Austin, TX: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
  • Arlington, VA: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually
  • Seattle, WA: $95,400 - $163,200 USD annually

Compensation package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
