The Amazon Leo accounting group focuses on Revenue, Supply Chain, and Infrastructure Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Drive projects, provide accounting guidance, and serve as the first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
- Take end-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners across the accounting and reporting process.
- Research, conclude, and document technical accounting position papers for new business initiatives and complex transactions.
- Assess internal control design to evaluate effectiveness and influence system, process, and control design for emerging business activities.
- Exercise judgment to ensure accurate financial reporting and monthly book closure.
- Analyze complex processes and systems data to identify process improvement and automation opportunities.
- Lead accounting tasks and projects, enhancing partnerships between Accounting and business/IT groups.
- Navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively based on multiple business needs.
- Escalate risks and issues to leadership as necessary.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in finance or a related analytical field.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Qualifications
- CPA certification.
- Experience researching and documenting accounting conclusions.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
- Experience in accounting management at a Big Four firm with Fortune 500 clients.
- Experience in the satellite internet and/or telecommunications industries.

Pay
Base salary ranges by location:
- Culver City, CA: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
- Boston, MA: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
- Portland, OR: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
- Nashville, TN: $85,900 – $146,900 USD annually
- Austin, TX: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
- Arlington, VA: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
- Seattle, WA: $95,400 – $163,200 USD annually
Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
