Revenue Accountant

Responsibilities

• Review agreements to determine the correct revenue treatment under the guidance of ASC 606.
• Investigate billing, contract, and revenue recognition issues to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Aid in the month-end close process and prepare revenue-related account reconciliations.
• Aid in the documentation/implementation of revenue accounting processes and internal controls.
• Partner with other departments, including Sales, Revenue Operations, Legal, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting, to support business processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer billing concerns, system errors, and process inefficiencies.
• Participate in various system automation and enhancement projects to promote more timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Support request for either financial or tax authority audit or review, and other ad-hoc requests.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex revenue transactions, identify discrepancies, resolve billing and revenue recognition issues, and implement process improvements that enhance financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
• Strong communication skills via multiple platforms and tools.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Team player with strong work ethic.
• Experience working in a complex ERP system; Sage Intacct is strongly preferred.
• Working experience with Salesforce.com is a plus.
• Efficient with Microsoft Excel.

The Pay Range For This Role Is 60,000 - 70,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
