FANgineers play a vital role in the success of our hospitality program and game days by engineering a great experience through the highest level of hospitality for fans in premium seating areas. They serve as goodwill ambassadors to donors and guests while maintaining operational policies and acting as liaisons between donors, caterers, maintenance staff, custodial staff, Hospitality Managers, and Athletic Department personnel.
Responsibilities
- Act as game day ambassadors for the Hospitality Office and athletics department.
- Perform G.O.L.D. Standard Service for all guests, fans, and department staff.
- Ensure all game day policies and procedures are upheld.
- Monitor entrances, review tickets, and enforce access control protocols.
- Perform pre-, during-, and post-game duties in premium areas (e.g., fulfilling requests, disposing of trash, monitoring facility and food & beverage needs).
- Other duties as assigned.
Availability and Opportunities
- Must be available to work all home football games at Faurot Field.
- Hourly employees with hours ranging between 6-14 hours per game week, depending on schedule and preparation needs.
- Expected to work the entire football day shift, typically beginning 5 hours before kickoff and ending approximately 90 minutes post-game.
- Opportunities may be available to work the day before game days for additional hours.
- With a positive supervisor evaluation, gain opportunities to work additional events such as basketball, baseball, concerts, etc.
Requirements
- Ability to work all home football games (includes some nights and weekends).
- Trustworthy with a strong sense of integrity.

- Strong communication skills.
- Dependable and enthusiastic about making guests feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
- Willing to learn and be flexible to fill in where needed.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and game day partners.
- Ability and willingness to stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., event materials).
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
- Manual dexterity to handle event materials and technology.
- Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor spaces.
- Good visual acuity and attention to detail.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced conditions during events.
- Frequent interaction with clients, vendors, donors, and large groups.
Benefits
- Competitive pay rate ($16/hour).

- Holiday pay (time and a half) for working on Labor Day or Thanksgiving Day, if applicable.
