The Reunion Giving Officer is a member of the Alumni Relations department responsible for alumni relations, volunteers, fundraising and support of Alumni Relations goals. The Reunion Giving Officer identifies, engages and manages alumni class volunteers’ efforts and success fundraising for class gifts. The scope of position ranges from personal individual communication to small groups to large segments of Punahou alumni. The Reunion Giving Officer collaborates across functions, programs and departments to manage and maximize efforts to ensure coordination, timing, and alignment with Punahou’s fundraising goals. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: Assist in developing and managing the overall reunion strategy, and volunteer structure and training program including design and implementation of volunteer recruitment, training and stewardship materials. Recruit, train, support and manage Punahou alumni volunteers for a variety of engagement opportunities including leadership roles for their respective class reunions and activities. Coordinate and manage reunion class gift activities within the department and internal school functions. Proven ability to motivate volunteers to solicit gifts on behalf of their class and to set monetary and participation goals in perspective to the class’ capacity. Serves as an active team member, supporting the Office of Institutional Advancement and its departments, participating with the Development Department in creative brainstorm sessions, strategy creation, tactical planning, development and implementation of metrics-based alumni engagement campaigns. Supports the school-wide relationship-building, and overall goals through collaboration, and facilitative leadership. Position Details Months: 12 months School Year: 2026-2027 Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Occasional evenings depending on operational needs. Minimum Salary Range: $80,500 - Compensation is commensurate with qualifications Punahou School offers a comprehensive total rewards program that includes competitive pay and benefits. Pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors such as knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant training and experience, and internal equity. Minimum Qualiications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related field. Masters degree preferred. Three (3) years of successful experience managing alumni groups, volunteer organizations, or related constituent networks, with a demonstrated history of taking on increasing levels of responsibility. Familiarity with independent schools and understanding of the Advancement discipline, specifically alumni relations preferred. Current knowledge and understanding of business and industry thoughts and trends, as well as solid awareness of news, developments, and emerging technologies. Experience working with volunteers preferred. Demonstrated experience and familiarity with web-based technology and content management systems. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe products, Microsoft Windows and Office suite, and common graphics package. Knowledge and understanding of the Web and Web technologies
