Returns Inspector

Meyer Distributing is a complete wholesale distributor specializing in automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more. With 85+ locations across the country, Meyer services dealers nationwide. Meyer Logistics, the transportation arm, operates a fleet of 500+ top-of-the-line trucks.

About the role

The Returns Inspector inspects returned product and determines if it may be returned to inventory or sent back to the vendor.

Responsibilities

• Inspect returned product and determine if complete order was returned for quality
• Re-package and place the quality returned items back into inventory if product is able to be resold
• Keep accurate records on RGA number and details of product’s condition
• Perform minor repairs to quality items if needed
• Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized
• Wear protective toed shoes and work in a safe manner
• All other duties as assigned

• Ability to give special attention to detail
• Must have the ability to identify letters and numbers
• Must have computer and data entry skills
• Must have the ability to problem solve
• Must have the ability to make timely decisions
• Must adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, and responds to management direction
• Must have the ability to orally communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and other employees

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent preferred. One year of previous warehouse experience preferred.

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 3:45 PM
• Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:45 PM
• Saturday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM (with notice)
