About the role

Phillips Academy seeks to hire summer teaching faculty members for its various summer programs from June 23 through August 2, 2026. Programs include Summer Session, Mathematics & Science for Minority Students (MS)2, and PALS.

Responsibilities

  • Teach two courses, typically lasting 1.5 hours per day, 5-6 days a week.
  • House counsel, providing academic and personal support to students.
  • Coach an afternoon activity, contributing to student development and engagement.
  • Participate in the life of the residential community, including attending all-school meetings and events.
  • Lead project-based, hands-on, and authentic learning experiences.

Requirements

Experience in teaching at the secondary level is required. Applicants should have a passion for innovative and engaging educational practices and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience in teaching mathematics, science, English, and/or college counseling is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits
