Returning Summer, (MS)2 & PALS Faculty

About the role

Phillips Academy seeks to hire summer teaching faculty members for its various summer programs from June 23 through August 2, 2026. Programs include Summer Session, Mathematics & Science for Minority Students (MS)2, and PALS.

Responsibilities

• Teach two courses, typically lasting 1.5 hours per day, 5-6 days a week.
• House counsel, providing academic and personal support to students.
• Coach an afternoon activity, contributing to student development and engagement.
• Participate in the life of the residential community, including attending all-school meetings and events.
• Lead project-based, hands-on, and authentic learning experiences.

Requirements

Experience in teaching at the secondary level is required. Applicants should have a passion for innovative and engaging educational practices and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Experience in teaching mathematics, science, English, and/or college counseling is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

Compensation includes a starting salary of $6,800-$9,700, with additional stipends available for coaching and other roles. The position offers a unique opportunity to innovate and experiment with teaching methods, and to engage with a diverse group of students and colleagues.

Schedule
