Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues, noises, vibrations, etc.
- Replace worn, broken, or EX parts.
- Reflash calibrations/modules back to factory standards.
- Install LPO parts and perform PDI (pre-delivery inspection).
- Test drive vehicles to ensure the vehicle is road-ready.
- Complete paperwork and input hours worked into productivity software.
- Complete campaigns and safety bulletins.
- Perform routine services as needed.
- Scrap vehicle teardown as needed.
- Adhere to Suburban Automotive Service’s DRIVEN values and align business practices to support the SAS mission and vision.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to drive company vehicles at Milford Proving Grounds.
- Must be mechanically inclined and own tools or willingness to purchase tools.
- Must have familiarity with re-flashing modules and calibrations.
- Must have exceptional critical thinking/problem-solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently.
- Must be a reliable team player.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
- Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and automotive liquids.
- No air conditioning inside the shop area.
- Must be okay to work in cramped or confined spaces.
- This position is performed both inside a garage and outside so weather conditions may include extreme heat and cold.
- This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and all day.
- Must frequently lift and/or move items up to 100 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Pay
The pay rate for this role starts at $24 per hour based on experience.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
