Recon Technician (Mechanic)

Job Summary

The Cavender Auto Family, established over 80 years ago, is seeking a talented Reconditioning Technician to join their team at Confidence Chevrolet Buick GMC. This position is part of a larger, rapidly growing organization with 16+ dealerships across multiple cities including San Antonio, Austin, Lubbock, Midland, Oklahoma City, Columbus, and Weimer Texas. Responsibilities

• Perform efficient and expert work on repair orders, adhering to dealership, state, and factory standards; maintain knowledge of all factory-technical bulletins
• Address customers' primary concerns with diagnosis, repair, and quality control to meet 'Fixed First Visit' expectations
• Perform Electronic Multi Point Inspection on every vehicle; notify Service Advisor of additional issues promptly
• Master Dealer Management System (CDK) for timekeeping, work distribution, electronic inspections, repair quotes, and communication
• Be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and maintain a clean workspace and vehicles

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Successfully completed MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
• Valid driver's license
• 2 to 3 years of automotive technician (mechanic) experience preferred
• Highly accurate and precise work, with attention to detail and patience
• Unselfish and approachable, with a preference for detailed, skill-based work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Successfully completed MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
• Valid driver's license
• 2 to 3 years of automotive technician (mechanic) experience preferred
• ASE or dealership manufacturer certifications
