Retirement Project Specialist
About the Role
Provide system problem analysis and resolution on large project issues. Work with system programmers in system requirement definition for resolutions. Determine training issues within the division vs. systems problems needing addressed. Provide support in the areas of system problem resolution, database correction, rapport development, and special projects. Communicate effectively with internal parties to understand their needs and provide effective consultation, error avoidance, and appropriate procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and direction on high profile, sensitive, and more complex customer/system issues.
- Serve as the primary system resource for AC teams with extensive knowledge in outsourcing capabilities.
- Develop system security levels to enable full table updates to the PARIS system.
- Perform analysis, research, and implement procedures; produce documentation of problems.
- Support reporting functions within the department through AQT and Spufi reporting and update tools.
- Interpret complex system errors and client issues by applying error resolution skills and involving resources and other system applications to produce effective problem-solving results.
- Develop solutions for business issues through complex queries, detailed technical research, and produce results with minimal impact to the end user/client.
- Coordinate project teams, determine task assignments, identify resource requirements, develop and maintain project schedules, and adhere to project deadlines.
- Develop and maintain strong customer service relationships.
- Interpret and communicate complex information to others with varying levels of experience, including end users, upper management, and programmer staff.
- Work with both internal and external customers.
- Provide support to Associate/Consultant or Specialist/Manager levels regarding system research and table updates.
- Recommend and implement effective solutions to problems and issues; suggest improvements to gain efficiencies.
- Assist in developing/enhancing the Paris III recordkeeping system.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, system-related degree, or equivalent experience required.
- 3-5 years of pension, accounting, or technical experience required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of processes and systems with expertise in most job functions.
- Pension knowledge required.
- Strong PC skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
- AQT and Spufi knowledge required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced PARIS knowledge preferred, including division processes, outsourcing procedures, file downloads, and uploads.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Access.
- Ability to interpret complex data, business situations, and business impact.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively under time-sensitive issues using planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions on processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions

Pay
The salary for this position generally ranges between $58,500 - $68,500 annually. Actual starting pay is determined by several factors, including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote), and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts as permitted by applicable law. This position is typically eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance at the company’s discretion.
