About the role

The Retirement Benefits Assistant supports the administration of the firm's defined benefit (pension) and defined contribution (401(k)) retirement plans under the guidance of the Retirement Benefits Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supports administration of defined benefit (pension) and defined contribution (401(k)) retirement plans under guidance of the Retirement Benefits Manager.
• Maintains participant records.
• Processes retirement-related transactions.
• Prepares reports.
• Supports accurate and timely delivery of retirement benefits.
• Works with retirement plan data.
• Performs basic calculations and data validation.
• Maintains internal systems and records.
• Supports compliance, audit, and reporting activities.
• Provides an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop expertise in retirement plan administration, benefits compliance, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics or a related field, strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, including data entry, basic formulas, and reporting functions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to learn retirement plan concepts, processes, and applicable regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.

Pay

Jones Day offers competitive salaries and benefits to all employees. Compensation is determined by the market, position responsibilities, applicant experience and skills, and other job‑related factors. The starting salary range for this Cleveland position is $60,000 – $70,000.
