Responsibilities

  • Travel up to 100% in the Nashville, TN area to provider practices and patient homes for scheduled eye exam appointments, engaging virtually with team members and partners on non-appointment days.
  • Perform diabetic eye exams (retinal screenings) using company-provided imaging equipment to support the closure of eye exam and related quality gaps.
  • Complete company-provided training on retinal imaging equipment and eye exam procedures prior to conducting exams independently, maintaining competency through ongoing training.
  • Manage a daily eye exam appointment schedule, confirm appointments with practices and patients in advance, and coordinate travel logistics (mileage and expenses covered by the company).
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality improvement, reporting, patient outreach, and customer success.

Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel daily (up to 100%) to provider practices; no prior eye exam or imaging experience required (full training and equipment provided). Travel time is paid.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Associate degree or greater in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, medical billing, or coding.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and multiple healthcare-related systems or applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with management, co-workers, customers, providers, payers, and care teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified or licensed healthcare professional credential, such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Pay

The hourly rate for this role is $22 to $24/hour based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement consistent with IRS guidelines.
