Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Retina Physician (Vitreoretinal Surgeon) to join a well-established, growing multispecialty ophthalmology practice serving the Tampa Bay region. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced retina specialists and newly trained fellows seeking a high-volume surgical practice with exceptional clinical support and long-term earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and manage medical and surgical retinal diseases.
  • Perform approximately 4-6 vitreoretinal surgeries per week.
  • Provide intravitreal injections, retinal laser procedures, and comprehensive retina care.
  • Evaluate and treat conditions including retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular disorders, and vitreoretinal diseases.
  • Collaborate with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
  • Participate in a rotating retina call schedule shared among three physicians.
  • Travel between multiple outpatient clinic locations within the Tampa Bay region.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Fellowship-trained in Vitreoretinal Surgery/Retina.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
  • Eligible for Florida medical licensure.
  • New graduates (Retina Fellowship graduates) are encouraged to apply.
