Responsibilities
- Analyze sales reports and data to assess business needs and create strategies.
- Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as ATV, UPT, and conversion, and hold the team accountable for meeting these goals.
- Coach and motivate the sales team to meet their assigned goals and expectations.
- Demonstrate sales leadership by actively participating on the selling floor and providing guidance.
- Collaborate with the Regional/District Manager and Marketing to identify marketing opportunities that drive sales.
- Drive Goodwill brand loyalty by coaching the sales team on the Goodwill Rewards program and Mission, and educating customers about its benefits.
- Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer service and cultivate customer relationships.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Manage store Profit and Loss (P&L) by controlling expenses and labor costs to ensure profitability.
- Follow cash control procedures, including bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash management.
- Efficiently schedule associates to maintain adequate floor coverage and process donations within budgeted payroll limits.
- Protect store assets and inventory, and report any loss prevention concerns to the Regional/District Manager.
- Implement and maintain merchandising directives, ensuring effective strategies and appropriate assortment levels.
- Ensure the selling floor is organized, clean, and visually appealing.
- Recruit, train, and develop teams, ensuring all positions are filled with qualified candidates.
- Continually assess employee proficiency and provide timely training to support their roles.
- Evaluate team performance and provide consistent feedback for improvement, bench strength planning, and succession.
- Resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner, collaborating with People & Culture when necessary.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail store management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite and ability to adapt to internal applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Open availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proven ability to drive and exceed individual and store results.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to adapt to and engage with internal and external customers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with customers, sales leadership team, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to receive feedback and act appropriately.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required.

Qualifications
