Part-time position based on-site in Miami Gardens, FL, reporting to the Manager, Retail.

About the role

The Retail Supervisor ensures guests receive exceptional service within Hard Rock Stadium’s retail merchandise outlets by supervising merchandise staff at all points of sale and assisting with merchandise-related needs in designated retail locations, including permanent stands, mobile kiosks, in-venue retail stores, and standalone retail stores. This role delivers first-class service for guests at Hard Rock Stadium events such as Miami Dolphins games, the Miami Open, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, University of Miami Football, major concerts, international soccer, and other world-class events.

This position requires commitments on weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Work all Stadium events, including Miami Dolphins games, University of Miami Football games, the Miami Open tennis tournament, the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, concerts, festivals, and various special events.
  • Perform duties according to procedures for opening and closing merchandise locations at the start and close of business.
  • Observe, model, and coach staff on all sales, guest service, and operational standards.
  • Assist in educating staff regarding product knowledge and serve as an information resource for any questions they may have.
  • Apply consistent focus on the customer and pay close attention to detail in the performance of all tasks.
  • Acknowledge every guest who enters specialty retail areas with alert posture, a smile, direct eye contact, and a sincere verbal greeting.
  • Be courteous and professional in all interactions.
  • Assist guests in locating specific desired merchandise; proactively inquire if they are in search of a particular item.
  • Know merchandise inventory, including available styles, colors, sizes, and options for each item.
  • Monitor and encourage staff’s use of suggestive selling techniques by recommending specific items and up-selling techniques by recommending complementary items.
  • Continually observe surroundings and monitor guests in retail areas to ensure they are properly attended to by retail staff, even when ‘just browsing.’
  • Immediately alert Security of any suspicious activity.
  • Intervene in instances of guest dissatisfaction and work diligently to resolve issues so that no guest leaves unhappy.
  • Maintain positive, ongoing communication with the Retail Operations Manager.
  • Relay information regarding guest complaints and/or feedback, as well as any issues regarding inventory, equipment, or facilities.
  • Make proactive suggestions for improving the customer experience in retail outlets.
  • Follow established procedures for time and attendance and taking assigned meal breaks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand instructions from supervisor(s) and Stadium management.
  • Flexible schedule with willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
