About the Role

At Office Depot and Office Max, our Store Associates are Leaders and Enthusiasts passionate about selling. They advocate for the brand and demonstrate that our Stores offer more than what is physically on the shelves. As a Store Associate, you will serve as a brand ambassador, driving customer service and sales culture while inspiring and motivating the team to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate as a brand ambassador to inform, educate, and communicate Office Depot and Office Max brand attributes.
• Drive the overall customer service and sales culture within the store.
• Inspire and motivate store associates to exceed customer expectations and manage store operations.
• Develop and communicate store-level strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service, and operational excellence.
• Differentiate and instill the role of Office Depot and Office Max Store Associates as trusted advisors.
• Empower the team to create memorable customer experiences and build customer loyalty.
• Use tools such as kiosks, mobile devices, and interactive products to sell items not physically in the store.
• Act as a relationship builder with customers and fellow associates, knowing them by name and understanding their needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's Degree preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in leadership, management, communication, and training in a customer-centric sales environment (College, Military, Mentorship, Leadership, or Real Work Experience will all be considered).
• Working knowledge of MS Office products and excitement about technology.
• Highly customer-centric and sales-focused, with the ability to create a culture of empowered associates providing total customer solutions.
• Strong talent development skills, recognizing that individual and team development drives store profitability.
• Positive, energetic, and proactive attitude with continuous learning to create opportunities for upward mobility.
• Strong operational skills with good time management and priority-setting abilities.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $10.22/hour to $20.00/hour. All state and local minimum wages will be complied with, which may result in an adjustment to the salary range.
