About the Role

Retail Store Managers are in charge of the staff, operation, and presentation of their New Balance store. They inspire their team and set the tone, consistently demonstrating our core values of integrity, teamwork, and total customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a "Total Customer Satisfaction" culture by ensuring your team is 100% trained on the NB GUEST service model
• Set the store’s strategic direction to reach sales and budget goals
• Hire and develop team members, taking ownership of their growth
• Think creatively to boost store traffic and hit financial targets
• Execute weekly and monthly business rhythms to ensure smooth store operations
• Maintain visual merchandising standards to keep the store looking fresh
• Coordinate volunteer opportunities to build brand presence in the community
• Analyze market trends with the District Manager to drive sales
• Maintain positive employee relations and open communication
• Collaborate with the District Manager on coaching and conflict resolution
• Conduct regular employee performance reviews
• Promote and follow safety protocols

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 3-6 years’ store management experience (some high-volume stores may require more)
• B.A. in Business Administration or related field preferred
• Proficiency with POS systems and Microsoft Office
• Experience in staffing, coaching, and developing employees
• Knowledge of retail operations, including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation, and loss prevention
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift 4 lbs. constantly, up to 8 lbs. occasionally, and move boxes up to 50 lbs. (with assistance if necessary)
• Ability to kneel, squat, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and navigate stairs frequently

Pay

Pay Range: $58,875.00 - $73,600.00 - $88,325.00 Annual (actual base pay varies based on relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and other factors).
