Job Functions
- Manage and operate all aspects of the retail store, including merchandise acquisition, display, and sale.
- Achieve and maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Perform administrative and clerical duties related to store operations.
- Create and submit accurate sales reports and retail information on time.
- Oversee all personnel, clients, and volunteers assigned to the retail store.
- Train, conduct performance evaluations, and manage recruitment, interviews, and hiring of store retail staff.
- Handle personnel issues, document them appropriately, and assist with terminations when necessary.
- Enforce store procedures and GIWM policies.
- Maintain grounds and buildings, report maintenance needs, and recommend replacements.
- Ensure security and loss prevention measures are in place.
- Comply with OSHA/MIOSHA and GIWM safety regulations.
- Perform job functions of a Lead Cashier and retail Associate, as required.
EDUCATION
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in retail operations is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
Physical Requirements
- Medium work, occasionally exerting up to 50 pounds of force and/or up to 25 pounds of lifting, frequent lifting up to 10 pounds, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, reaching, handling, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive movement.
Work Conditions
- Inside generally 100%, but may include outside work on occasion.
- Moderate emotional effort.
- The work environment is occasionally hectic with occasional high stress.
- Short deadlines may require some overtime.
- Weekends and holidays are required.
- Available and on-call for emergency situations at stores.
- Use of personal vehicle for agency business, as needed.
- Some travel is required for off-site meetings and coverage at other stores.

- Maintain good public relations and positively promote the agency and retail store image.
- Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office suite.
- Maintain accurate records and reports pertinent to retail store operation.
- Accurately handle accounting and bookkeeping.
- Handle customer complaints in a courteous and responsible manner.
- Provide positive internal and external customer relations and easily interact with individuals referred for training.
- Follow Kaizen principles and adhere to the 5S Checklist, procedures, signage, and layout.
- Maintain a good driving record, valid insurance, valid driver's license.
- Maintain a valid powered industrial truck license, when required.

- Works under the direct supervision of the Retail District Manager.

- Supervise all staff, clients, and volunteers assigned to the retail store.
