Retail Store Manager

About the role

We’re seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
• Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth
• Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience
• Safeguard the company’s assets
• Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
• Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members required
• Excellent communication skills required
• Retail management experience preferred
• Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs (occasionally 55 lbs) from floor level to above shoulder height required
• Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting required

Pay

Hourly range: $16.27 – $20.34

Schedule & location

Full-time position at Family Dollar store #32855 in Mountain City.

Licensing requirement

We are required to obtain specialized licenses for stores that sell alcohol and/or tobacco. As a manager, you may be required by the local jurisdiction to provide detailed background information necessary to obtain a license to sell alcoholic beverages or tobacco products. Failure to comply or qualify for such license can lead to demotion or separation of employment.
