About the role
We’re seeking a Store Manager to join our team to lead associates, assist customers, and drive store sales.
Location: 610 N 89th Street, East Saint Louis, Illinois 62203-2109
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of business operations to maximize sales and profitability
- Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations
- Lead, train, and develop store associates to foster a culture of growth
- Provide every customer with a positive and enjoyable shopping experience
- Safeguard the company’s assets
- Build strong relationships with the community by actively engaging in outreach and partnerships
- Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures
- Implement operational and merchandising direction that is communicated from our corporate headquarters
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to focus on results and build strong relationships with team members required
- Excellent communication skills required
- Retail management experience preferred
- Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs. (occasionally 55 lbs.) from floor level to above shoulder height required
- Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
- May be required to provide detailed background information to obtain licenses for alcohol and/or tobacco sales per local jurisdiction; failure to comply or qualify can lead to demotion or separation of employment
