Retail Store Manager
About the role
Duluth Trading Company is seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a WOW! Go for WOW! manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability while setting a high standard for customer service.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Goals Achievement: Drive sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store budgeted financial goals.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service and engage with customers to provide solution-oriented, friendly service.
- Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and lead employees effectively, ensuring all openings are filled on time.
- Store and Employee Operations: Control inventory and expenses, direct team in handling merchandise receipts and transfers, and ensure store security.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business Administration and/or Merchandising preferred.
- Five years retail experience with a minimum of three years in retail management.
- Highly organized and adaptable in a growing and changing environment.
- Able to build teams, motivate, lead, and influence others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make good decisions.
- Able to persist through challenges and be goal-oriented and results-driven.
- Exemplify the highest standards of integrity and trust.
- Excellent communicator and listener, collaborates and functions as part of a team.
- Able to work a flexible shift including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching and bending and twisting – below waist and above shoulders.
- Frequently required to use repetitive hand to finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift up to twenty pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
- Push/pull up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 80 degrees – especially in our stock room areas.
- Able to use common tools such as hammer, screw driver, and wrench for floor sets.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

Position Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,313 to $84,375/year. This position is eligible to participate in the company bonus program. Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience and qualifications.
