Retail Store Manager
About the role
Duluth Trading Company is seeking a Retail Store Manager to join our team. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and profitability, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a motivated team.
Responsibilities
- Sales and Goals Achievement: Drive sales and profitability by achieving or exceeding all established store budgeted financial goals.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate a high level of customer service and engagement, setting the tone and expectations for the team.
- Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Recruit, hire, train, motivate, and lead employees, ensuring all openings are filled on a timely basis.
- Store and Employee Operations: Control inventory and expenses, direct team in handling merchandise receipts and transfers, and ensure store security.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years retail experience with a minimum of three years retail management experience.
- Highly organized and adaptable in a growing and changing environment.
- Able to build teams, motivate, lead, and influence others.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make good decisions.
- Able to persist through challenges and exemplify the highest standards of integrity and trust.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business Administration and/or Merchandising preferred.
- Excellent communicator and listener, able to collaborate and function as part of a team.
- Able to work a flexible shift including evenings and weekends.
Skills
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 80 degrees, especially in stock room areas.
- Proficiency in using common tools such as a hammer, screwdriver, and wrench for floor sets.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the day.

Pay
Annual Base Salary Range: $66,964 to $80,357/Year. Eligible to participate in the company bonus program.
Schedule
Flexible shift including evenings and weekends.
Environmental Factors
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching and bending and twisting – below waist and above shoulders.
- Frequently required to use repetitive hand to finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lifting up to twenty pounds, occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Push/pull up to 20 lbs.
- Able to climb ladders, reach and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 80 degrees – especially in our stock room areas.
- Able to use common tools such as hammer, screw driver, and wrench for floor sets.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the day.
